About Dr. Joan Hangarter.

Dr Joan

Dr. Joan Hangarter, talk show host and author, was a successful Bay Area chiropractor when suddenly, a car accident turned her and her two children's lives upside down. No longer able to practice her profession due to shoulder injuries incurred during the accident, Joan went from having a flourishing business, income, savings, food, and a nice warm home, to virtually nothing.

In desperation, she turned to welfare, food stamps and Medi-Cal to make ends meet for her and her children.

What's worse she won a multi-million dollar lawsuit in a bad faith claim against her insurance company UnumProvident- but was unable to collect a penny due to legal red tape. She was dubbed "the Welfare Millionaire".

The Article That Started it All

The San Francisco Examiner published her article on the front page of the December 19, 2001 edition entitled: It's tough to be Poor, Even tougher in Marin County.

Activating Her Miracle

The time had come for Dr. Joan to share her story and vision of activating miracles with the rest of the world. With the thousands of people who have reached the point of desperation, who can't go on and need to get out of the deep, dark hole their life has become.

She began speaking to groups, hosted workshops, wrote two books and has appeared on TV. She has followed her inner miracle to activate her life's path of sharing with all who wish to listen that miracles do exist. And that they can be made to happen.
